San Francisco Events November 2018

Enjoy the best San Francisco events in November!

Broadway Shows & Theater Productions

You will find three Broadway shows on stage this month. Some of the top San Francisco events in November include Miss Saigon, Waitress, and A Bronx Tale.

Miss Saigon runs from 10/9-11/4 and is the dramatic love story between an American soldier and a young Vietnamese girl during the war. It’s based on the opera Madame Butterfly. It will show at the Orpheum Theater.

Waitress is a fun musical about a waitress that dreams of a better life. She plans to use her amazing pie making skills to win a contest in a neighboring town and live the life she has always dreamed. It runs from 10/15-11/11 at the Golden Gate Theater.

The third Broadway production in San Francisco this November is A Bronx Tale. It’s the story of a young man in the Bronx in the 1960s. He loves his father, but also strives to be like the mob boss he admires. It opens at the Golden Gate Theater on 11/27 and runs until 12/23.

Cirque du Soleil in San Francisco

Head over to San Francisco’s South of Market District for this year’s Cirque du Soleil’s performances. This year’s show is called Volta.

It’s the story of a young man, Waz, who seeks fame and acceptance as he prepares to be a contestant on a gameshow. What he learns is that he needs to transform himself, not those around him, to become the person he has always wanted to be.

Shows run most days of the week in the parking lots near AT&T Park. Show will run from 11/16 – 1/6.

Tree Lighting Ceremonies & Holiday Events

Kick off your 2018 holiday celebrations at one of these colorful events in San Francisco. This year’s activities include tree lighting ceremonies as well as holiday winter wonderland festivals.

-Union Square: This year’s Union Square Tree Lighting Ceremony (Macy’s 29th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony) is on Friday, November 23, 2018. Festivities begin at 6pm with the tree lighting scheduled for 6:40pm. Get to Union Square early for the best spot. The tree illuminates every night throughout the holidays.

-Pier 39: Pier 39’s annual tree will be lit for the first time of the season on Wednesday, November 21. Once an hour from 5pm to 10pm, the tree will light up again with a kaleidoscope of colors. The tree lights up nightly once an hour from 5pm to 10pm throughout the holiday season, ending on January 1.

-Embarcadero Center: The Embarcadero Center invites you to join them on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm for their Building Lighting Ceremony and Carnival. Words of Wisdom

The stronger core concept you have, the better suited you are for success.  Once you’ve determined the concept, ask yourself if your actions are adding to or subtracting from the core.  When you present a cohesive and consistent message, people will feel it, identify with it, and become attracted to it.  When starting a project or building an organization, make certain that every element adds to the strength and solidarity of what you are doing.
